Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker went the distance in an epic back-and-forth slugfest with Poirier emerging as the winner via a unanimous decision at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Poirier started slow with Hooker looking good in the first few rounds, but Poirier bounced back in the final half of the fight to win over all three judges. The former interim lightweight champion improved his record to 26-6 while Hooker dropped to 20-9.
The main event brawl is a clear contender for Fight of the Year.
In the co-main event, Mike Perry entered the Octagon with only his girlfriend to corner him and outpointed Mickey Gall to earn the 14th win of his career.
